What is a shell scheme?
'Shell scheme' is a term commonly used in the events and exhibition industry to describe the most common type of space assigned when you book a stand.
It typically consists of a box-style construction with vertical poles, with cross poles at the top and bottom for stability.
Traditionally these are available in 1m modules which can then be constructed to almost any size, usually up to a 20m² area space.
These pre-constructed trade show stands have anywhere from one to three open sides.
While the basic premise is the same, the exact construction and layout of a shell scheme will differ for each provider and exhibition space; when you book an event space, you should receive exact specifications from the organiser.
